Vern Catron, a 35-year industry vet began his career as an on-air personality in the top 10 market of Boston, Mass.
From there Vern went on to Program 14 radio stations in 12 Major and medium markets as well as becoming a major market radio station VP and General Manager.
Vern Catron also became known internationally for his voice over imaging and on-air work for Radio Jovem Pan 2 in Sao Paolo, Brazil where he still provides consultancy and occasional personal appearances.
As Director of Network Operations and Radio at ABC Radio Networks and Reach Media Inc. Vern worked with A-level talent such as Tom Joyner, Doug Banks, Dede McGuire and Sean Hannity. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Catron developed and spearheaded the launch of Al B Sure’s nationally syndicated ‘Secret Garden’ radio.
During the 2010 and 2020 Decennial Census, Vern Catron served as the Regional Media and Partnership Specialist for the 12 state Denver Census Regional Office where he was responsible for facilitating press conferences, interviews, media advisories, press releases and partnering with media outlets to help raise awareness. Mr. Catron also consulted and worked with The Sheryl Underwood Radio Network and ‘The Talk’ national TV show.
